Inhibitors of coronavirus: how to naturally support and boost your immune system.

Over the last several weeks, the media and the scientific community have been debating if certain drugs would be beneficial to combat this coronavirus epidemic.

But the funny thing is that in Asia, vitamin C IV has been used successfully.

In other words, solutions are already here that can be used right now to terminate this infection.

I have written about this several times over the last few weeks.

The key is to support your immune system. It is to make sure that your body is strong, healthy, working optimally to fight foreign invaders.

These are the articles I wrote that go over how to boost your immune system naturally.

I demonstrated that some natural options are very beneficial to fight viruses such as elderberry, vitamin C, echinacea, Andrographis, Ganoderma, vitamin D, zinc, olive leaf, Pau d’Arco, among others.

Then, I came across a very interesting article:

“Potential Inhibitor of COVID-19 Main Protease (Mpro) From Several Medicinal Plant Compounds by Molecular Docking Study.”

The goal of this study was:

“The present study aimed to assess bioactive compounds found in medicinal plants as potential COVID-19 Mpro inhibitors, using a molecular docking study.”

Proteases represent potential targets for the inhibition of CoV replication, and the protein sequences of the SARS-CoV Mpro and the 2019-nCoV Mpro are 96% identical, and the active sites in both proteins remain free from mutations.

In other words, targeting this enzyme Mpro may be the key to inhibit coronavirus replication.

And the scientists found:

“ The docking analysis in the present study showed the inhibition potential of several compounds, ranked by affinity (ΔG); nelfinavir > lopinavir > kaempferol > quercetin > luteolin-7-glucoside > demethoxycurcumin > naringenin > apigenine-7-glucoside > oleuropein > curcumin > catechin > epigallocatechin > zingerol > gingerol > allicin.”

Nelfinavir and lopinavir are two drugs that are antiviral that were used as a control for the study.

They found that certain compounds in foods have strong antiviral activities. Stating from the most potent is kaempferol to the least allicin.

Table 4 shows the sources of these compounds:

They conclude:

“We suggested that nelfinavir and lopinavir may represent potential treatment options, and kaempferol, quercetin, luteolin-7-glucoside, demethoxycurcumin, naringenin, apigenin-7-glucoside, oleuropein, curcumin, catechin, and epicatechin-gallate were the most recommended compounds found in medicinal plants that may act as potential inhibitors of COVID-19 Mpro.”

This paper is also very interesting:

“Antiviral Natural Products and Herbal Medicines”

The scientists summarize the antiviral effects reported for several natural products and herbal medicines.

Another paper:

“Antiviral potential of medicinal plants against HIV, HSV, influenza, hepatitis, and coxsackievirus: A systematic review.”

Hundreds of plant extracts with antiviral effect were recognized.

Another one:

“Antiviral Herbs – Present and Future”

St. John’s Wort – a new antiviral and antitumor photosensitizer: mechanism of action and interaction with biological macromolecules:
Berberine kills Coronavirus:
Eleuthero kills Coronavirus:
Other herbs that assist in killing Coronavirus, including Astragalus and Licorice:
Heat kills off the virus:

At the end of the day, we already have the answer to end this pandemic. The answer lies in natural approaches.

And aa healthy, diversified diet is primordial for a strong immune system that lowers our risks of being infected by coronaviruses.

Genesis 1:29

“Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.”

God bless y’all 😊
